A Race Built for Community

Visite de Broussard is more than a half marathon — it’s a celebration of movement, culture, and community in the heart of Broussard, Louisiana. Each year, runners from across Acadiana and beyond come together to experience a thoughtfully designed course, strong local support, and an event rooted in purpose.

From first-time half marathoners to seasoned runners, Visite de Broussard is designed to be challenging, welcoming, and memorable — a race that reflects the pride and spirit of Broussard.

Two runners, a woman and a man, smiling at the camera after completing a race. They are wearing athletic gear and medals around their necks, with race bibs pinned to their shirts. The woman has a grey long-sleeve top, black shorts, white running shoes, and a white cap. The man has a white sleeveless shirt, black leggings, red running shoes, a white cap with a logo, and sunglasses. The background shows a brick building, some banners, and a few other people, with clear blue skies overhead.

Our Mission

Our mission is to promote health, wellness, and community connection through an annual running event that brings people together and gives back locally.

Beginning this year, Visite de Broussard operates as a nonprofit organization, allowing the race to expand its community impact, strengthen partnerships, and support meaningful causes in Acadiana.

Board of Directors

As a nonprofit, the race is guided by a board of local leaders, runners, and community advocates who share a common goal: using this event as a platform to support health, community engagement, and charitable giving.

Giving Back

At its core, Visite de Broussard is about more than miles and finish times — it’s about impact.

Each year, a portion of race proceeds is donated to a selected local charity or cause aligned with our mission of health, wellness, and community development. Through this partnership, every participant, sponsor, and volunteer plays a role in giving back to the community that makes this event possible.
